DAYTONA ICE ARENA JOINS SOUTH DAYTONA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

Mike Panaggio, owner of the Daytona Ice Arena, was given the honor of commencing the ribbon cutting ceremony for the arena’s entry into the Port Orange – South Daytona Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, April 3rd 2019.

Mike, owner and founder of the direct marketing giant DME Delivers, acquired the Daytona Ice Arena last year. Since then, Mike and DME have renovated the aging building, turning what was an outdated ice complex into a modern family entertainment venue. Today, the Ice Arena is popular with children and adults throughout the Daytona area.

The arena is within the newly-renamed Sunshine Plaza complex just off US-1 in South Daytona. Sunshine Plaza owner Andy Clark stood side-by-side with Mike during the ribbon cutting ceremony.

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, Mike and fellow chamber members gathered for a luncheon and meet and greet.

Mike expressed pride and enthusiasm for the Ice Arena’s inclusion in the chamber, believing that it was the beginning of many fruitful relationships between the venue and the regional business community.

The facility, which hosts ice hockey games and practice for adults, children and DME Sports Academy, also offers free public skating days most weekdays. Mike is determined to keep this community resource alive and thriving, ensuring local families continue to have access to family fun, entertainment and community resources.
